Football is an international sport, which is watched by both men and women all over the world. The analyze of the worldwide sport movement process in XXI century tells us about the developing of the feminist tendention in it, which is inspired by the ideas of the comprehensive woman emancipation. Very active representatives of the so called “weaker sex” are trying to prove that they can handle any men’s kind of sports. Feminization of the sports was revealed by beginning to follow men’s traditional sport like football in the organized way by women. Stored methods and other values in men’s football, of course helped women to move on quickly and reaching good results.
The most part of men suppose that football is only-men activity and strongly object that women can play football and reach good results. Although a group of European scientists through the monitoring of this question announced that women by they nature and physiology are ideal for football. Analyzing physiology of women says that they have good moving qualities, satisfactory cardiovascular system, muscle strength, stamina,
flexibility, psychological condition - all this is included in the sportsman’s basic physical preparedness. In most countries women teams in non-traditional kinds of sport are scanty, but although they exist and need support from the society.
The Milady Cup tournament of The Milan European Capital of Sport 2009 evidences supporting of women football by the international society and availability of the tendetion for its popularization and developing. I’d like to thank The president of sport’s club Atletico Milano Luca Maniglio and The FIDIS sport manager Marco Pennati for supporting women football and pledging opportunities to FC “BAIA”(President FC “BAIA”-Zviad Sichinava) to take part in the event held under patronage of European Parliament and European Commission.
One of the success guarantees and development for FC’s is right management. As to right management I’d like to give an example as FC “BAIA”, whose level of management and material and technical basis corresponds to modern international standarts. In parallel with footballer’s physical preparation, under the control of the coaches, skilled medical staff controls physical and psychological condition of sportsmen, food allowance (ration). In very short time that FC “BAIA” exists (main coach - Geronti Nachqebia) in different age groups it has won Mini Football National Championship two times.
The Georgian women football was founded in 1995 in the form of Union. In 2003 was established Georgian women football federation, that at the moment includes about 300 players, 18 football clubs of the 8 regions.
